I was quietly filling out the technical data sheet of Magnon 35 when I was struck by the resemblance to Topcon C35 EP. Except for the name of the camera and that of the lens, it is the same camera The adjustment of the diaphragm curiously placed around the crank of rewinding was an important component to identify the common origin of Topcon and Magnon.
At the time of the PMA of Chicago, in 1979, Topcon, which hitherto “made” in the reflex camera of quality, introduced the 135 EE. This one has many common features with C35 EP, of which the same lens. One can suppose that manufacture has the same origin, that is to say Haking, at the same moment.
